The highest possible treatment was received from Dr. Janindra Warusavitarne, he carefully explained the procedure prior to the operation. He put our minds at ease, our daughter's operation was successful and the after care received was more than we were expecting. Thank you again Dr. Janindra for helping my daughter in such traumatic time.

Mr Warusavitarne was kind and caring. I felt totally safe and the care from his team was excellent. He performed my surgery and everything went very smoothly.

I had a number of narrowings and kinks in my bowel from Crohn's that were worsening and required surgery. Mr. Warusavitarne (aka Mr. W) made sure I understood exactly what he was going to do and the potential difficulties and risks of the surgery. Once I was opened up, things were worse than expected but he was able to adapt the plan and I was given a temporary ileostomy (3-6 months). I'd had an ileostomy for 2 years in the early 90's that was supposed to be temporary for 6 months - I was concerned that this 3-6 months would go the same way. Mr. Warusavitarne reversed my ileostomy almost 12 weeks to the day. He was very sensitive to my concerns and took no undue risks in performing the reversal. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Warusavitarne to anyone and would use him again in the future.

Mr Warusavitarne is an excellent doctor, of all the consultants I have seen over the years I would recommend this doctor totally. I have had a complex and difficult surgical history, this surgeon has been everything I wish I had encountered before, and everything which can be lacking in the experiences I have had with the medical profession. It is clear he is a very talented and skillful surgeon, but more than that he is genuinely a very kind, patient and caring person, who has treated me with respect and been I feel completely open and honest. I trust that he genuinely wants to help me and to ensure whatever steps he takes does not leave me in any worse situation than I already am. I am a complicated patient because of previous failed surgeries, and he has been open and honest with me about his concerns. My stoma revision operation under him went well and resolved the issues, but unfortunately I had another complication arise, despite this he and the team at St marks have shown me nothing but exceptional care and kindness, against clear pressures and extremely busy clinics. I have suffered huge anxiety about being in hospital and surgery following traumatic previous hospital experiences. Yet Mr Warusavitarne, his team, all the nurses and registrars I have seen, have totally provided me with reassurance, trust and made me feel I am now being treated in the best possible environment I could be. This is in such stark contrast to previous experiences that the first time I met Janindra I left the hospital in tears of happiness, and every-time since I have felt the same. The conversations had, have not been easy and Mr Warusavitarne ultimately may not be able to help me, but if that's the case I do feel that it means more to me that I have been treated with respect, care and consideration of all best options he can. I will always be grateful for that and would recommend highly on those points, as well as clearly being a very talented and professional surgeon. Thank you Janindra I am extremely grateful to have met you and your team.

Janindra is incredible. I really couldn't recommend him enough. At 29, I had life-changing surgery to help the symptoms of Crohn's Disease. I'd been suffering pain, extreme lethargy and constant physical and emotional stress as a result. I finally decided to take the step to have the surgery and although I was incredibly nervous about it, Janindra's way of listening, caring and reassuring made it a decision I became confident in making. Janindra kept my partner and family in the loop throughout my surgery and during the time I was in the recovery bay. They also think incredibly highly of him. When I unfortunately suffered a stomach bug in the months following my surgery (totally unrelated I might add!) he came to check on me and give me reassurance and encouragement. Since my surgery, my life has changed drastically. I have also found a number of health care professionals have been bowled over by my surgery site. I had no other incisions other than my stoma and it's been admired (who would think that possible?!) by most nurses/drs who have seen it. He's a great surgeon, and a wonderful person. Thanks to my surgery I got married 5 months afterwards with no pain and full of energy. Thank you Janindra!
